Through musical excellence, the Israel Philharmonic is Israel’s leading cultural ambassador
2019 marked a pivotal moment in the history of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) as Maestro Zubin Mehta handed over the baton to Maestro Lahav Shani after an unprecedented 50 years as Music Director.
With the outbreak of the pandemic our plans to support this momentous new era were brought to a standstill as the orchestra was forced off stage for the first time in its history.
As the world reopens up, the orchestra is back on stage and is excited to be presenting. it’s 2021 season.
